A letter of invitation was recently mailed to many of our members
who are eligible to join the Moose Legion. We ask that
each eligible member examine carefully the contents of the
letter and the enclosed application form. If you have any questions,

On Sunday December 5th the Dedham Chapter and the Dedham
Lodge cooperated in their yearly Senior Citizen luncheon at the
Lodge. The tickets were originally priced at $3.00 per person
with the Lodge and the Chapter picking up the rest of the
cost. One of our newer members Bryan Wood heard of the plans
and came forward with a check of his own to pay the $3.00
charge for all of the Senior guests that attended the event. Not
only did Bryan present the check on behalf of the seniors but he
brought a few cases of canned goods for the Food Pantry collection
and brought his 2 children Bryan and Ashley to help setting
up the hall for the event. The luncheon was planned by our Jr.
Graduate Regent Marion Roy who also planned the menu which
included a choice of Fish or Chicken with all the fixings and of
course as she has done many times before did the cooking and
was the lead chef as we had a volunteer crew of 23 members and
Bryan's 2 children. We had a full house of seniors and they
raved about the excellence of the meal and the staff of volunteers.
The crew consisted of Marion Roy, Jim Boles, Frank
Leary, Mike "Sly" Sylvester, Lisa Welch, Kenny Hachey,
George Litchfield, Trisha Corraro, Geri Reinert, Carol Fee, Jack
McLellan, Donna Smetna, Libby Ross, Jeanie Clark, Dan Sullivan,
Sue Sullivan,Marcia Cibotti, Jack Reilly, Vin Sarro, Hank
Mills, Kaitlyn Lightbody and of course Bryan Wood and his
children Bryan and Ashley. And thank you to Mr & Mrs Corraro
for getting a super deal on the fish
Two other notes of interest, Mike Sylvester hung the outside
building wreaths which he has done a number of years now and
also Marion Roy has just received her license as a caterer, so if
your planning a party at the Lodge or anywhere actually get in
touch with Marion, you won’t be sorry. ….. Jim Boles
